Pollinators are beautiful, fascinating, and crucial members of Piedmont ecosystems, and spring is a wonderful time to observe and learn from them! As global change threatens insect populations worldwide, it is more important than ever that we monitor these important species. Come be a part of this effort, as we learn about the pollinators that live at Prairie Ridge, look for them around the Ecostation, and contribute observations to The Great Sunflower Project, a collaborative science project supporting active pollinator research, education, and conservation. Come dressed for the weather and ready for about a half-mile walk for this program for ages 8+.
